Profiles of Key Staff Members:

Amy Austin (Co-Executive Director and President of Board)
Amy is one of the founders of CenterStage and currently serves as an Executive Artistic Director, directing several shows and camps each year. Her background includes undergraduate work in elementary education as well as careers in technical training, sales, sales management after which she enjoyed several years as a stay-at-home mom.  Amy is a lifelong musician, starting piano at age 5, and performing in theatre throughout high school, college and her adult life.  She has studied voice for 10 years with teachers Bob Downard and her current teacher, Gene Roberts.  In May 2009, she will graduate from Metro State College with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.  Amy teaches private voice in Louisville and plans to expand her studio after graduation.  In 2004, Amy was awared the “Channel 7 Everyday Hero” for her work with CenterStage.  Her directing credits include The Wizard of Oz, The Granny Awards, The Sound of Music, The Velveteen Rabbit, The Music Man, Disney’s Jungle Book, Oklahoma!, A Chorus Line and most recently, Les Miserables.

Jeanie Balch (Co- Executive Director)
Jeanie holds a BA in Economics and History, graduating magna cum laude. She is currently a Master's degree student at the University of Colorado in theatre/directing.  She has collaborated with many other local theatre groups as a director, costumer, choreographer, and music director. Recently she assisted as the script supervisor in the new musical, Beneath the Surface, directed at the University of Colorado by New York director, Terry Berliner.   Jeanie has served for ten years as a church music director and has completed a two-year program in Leadership for Musicians in small churches. She has worked for the Boulder Valley School District as a substitute teacher for music and elementary education. In addition to being a graduate student she is currently the Office Manager for the Department of Physics at the University of Colorado. She has directed a number of CenterStage productions including My Fair Lady, Oliver!, Footloose, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Hot Mikado, The Student Gypsy, Sweet and Hot:  the Songs of Harold Arlen,  and Fiddler on the Roof.  Jeanie led CenterStage's first entry into the Colorado Theatre Coalition Festival Competition in 2007 where the company was recognized with outstanding acting and scenic design awards.

Daniel Graeber – (Accompanist)
Daniel has been playing piano for more than twelve years, and been involved as rehearsal and performance pianist for productions of Little Shop of Horrors, My Fair Lady and Sound of Music. He is also an avid filmmaker. In 2002 Graeber won the Most Creative Marketing Award at the Young Americans Bank Celebration for Young Entrepreneurs. His film Vision, won the top award in 2003 at the Denver Academy Film Festival for Youth. His company, Movie Time Productions, has done work for many local schools and businesses.

Creative Dimensions - (Set Design)
Kerry Koepping and Janet Koelling have created, designed and painted CSTC sets that include My Fair Lady in 2003, Wizard of Oz (2004), Music Man (2005), Jesus Christ Superstar (2005), Oklahoma (2007) A Chorus Line (2007), Les Mis (2008) and the award-winning Cagebirds set (2007). They operate Creative Dimensions, doing design, internet strategies, marketing, and photography for hotels and destinations throughout the United States.
The CSTC web site is one of many sites designed and maintained by Creative Dimensions.

Ileane Olson (Production Manager)
Ileane holds a BA in History and Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She was a partner in a financial consulting firm for 16 years, and now works part time as a property manager. Ileane has volunteered for the Fireside Elementary and Monarch K-8 PTOs as co-chairperson, treasurer, and Festival Director. She has managed the backstage and coordinated all volunteer efforts with CSTC for over six years. Recently she began assisting with directing in production of Honk Jr., Oklahoma and Les Mis.

Terry Koelling (Technical Director)
As Technical Director for CenterStage, Terry oversees sound and lighting applications for the productions. He draws from his experience as an Electrical and Software Engineer as he continually seeks to improve the technical systems for CSTC. Terry has watched his kids perform for many years in CenterStage shows. Uncomfortable getting up on stage himself, he enjoys playing the part of pulling together the backstage technical aspects of the CSTC productions.

Linda Lee
Linda is in charge of fund raising for CenterStage. She has twelve years experience in this field, including working with The Nature Conservancy and the Longmont Humane Society. In addition, she was head of fund raising, as well as a core organizer, for a national bloggers conference. She is also a past President of the Coal Creek Elementary PTA-SIT. Currently she is a Marketing Director for an independent publisher. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.
