CenterStage adds to quality of life

Dear Editor:

The 19th-annual Colorado Theatre Festival took place recently in Idaho Springs.

More than 100 people, representing theatre companies and patrons from all over the state, enjoyed the many fine performances. It was a true celebration of excellence in theatre.

CenterStage Theatre Company presented ÒThe CagebirdsÓ for the Mainstage Competition.

This exploration of the themes of freedom and captivity gathered a number of awards.

Specifically, CenterStage received All State Awards for Set Design and All State Acting Awards for Nancy Portnoy and Rebekah Hickennell.

As president of the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition, I would like to encourage you to patronize the work of this theatre.

The presence of theatre like CenterStage Theatre Company in your community adds to the overall quality of life available to all.
